Catcher and Caught is a minimal and graphic jewellery collection launched by Scottish artist/designer Caroline Ruiz-Gallacher in April 2018. The collection takes inspiration from art and architecture to make flattering and lightweight graphic jewellery, ranging from colourful statement pieces to minimal everyday essentials.
Caroline originally trained as an artist, graduating from the Glasgow School of Art with a BA (Hons) Fine Art in 2008. She was awarded the RSA New Contemporaries Sculpture prize 2009. After several years working on Sculptural Installation artwork, she also trained in Silversmithing, which enabled her to explore and play with different materials and forms to create wearable jewellery pieces. This love of material exploration has crossed over from her days as a sculptural artist and her constantly evolving jewellery collection is handmade in Scotland with love.
